Workshop Objectives: Participants in the workshop will be able to list 7 different situations throughout the day, which make
it necessary for hands to be washed.
Participants in the workshop will be able to demonstrate how to properly wash their hands.
Participants in the workshop will be able to demonstrate how to read the labels on commercial sanitizers to determine
standing time and precautions.
Participants in the workshop will be able to describe the importance of using proper surfacing under children's play equipment.
Participants in the workshop will be able to understand how to use a safety checklist to inspect playground equipment.
Dining With Diabetes: 4 week series
April 5,12,25 and May 10th
TIMES: 1-3 p.m. at Bent County Extension Office
6-8 p.m. at Bent County Nursing Service (repeated class)
Participants will learn how diabetes affects your overall health.
Learn the fundamentals of making healthy food choices
Learn helpful tools such as a food guide pyramid for diabetes and the "Plate Method" . These two tools will help put the
individualized meal planning instructions given by health care providers to work.
